He was Advertisement Manager and Feature writer on The Cricketer International for thirty two years. He wrote the ‘Assessment of cricket equipment supplement worldwide’ for twenty-eight years, visiting factories in Australia, India and South Africa as well as UK.

A member of MCC, Hampshire Hogs, Fellow of The Forty Club, Hon. Member of The Crusaders (Aus.), Hambledon, Auckland Cricket Society and The Willows (NZ), and still playing.

Joint author of THINK-Cricket and PLAN Cricket. Director of The Prudential Coaching video with Frank Tyson and John Emburey. Organiser of The European Cricketer Cup 1990 and 1992. Joint organiser of The International Batsman of the year in 1979 and ran many tours worldwide.
